| Anyone ever tried or currently using the magic jack. I'm considering it, but would like to know the true cost and performance. |

I've been using mine for months and its already paid for itself.
I have two identical Bell South cheapo telephones, one is land line one is MJ. The MJ phone is clearer and louder than the land line. I DO however only use it for out going calls. My MJ phone number is in the next county so if my next door neighbor calls me, its long distance. Not to mention that you would need the computer up 24/7 to use it as a regular phone system but for plug in as you need it free (almost) long distance you cant beat it! |

i responded in the other thread ,
but here goes. for me its been great .. its actually my only "landline: service" now. seems to be hit or miss. i dont know whats special about my comp.. but ive had zero.. not one issue with it. its saved me MANY $$$$ in cellphone bills. yet others claim the device sounds bad breaks up and skips.. i have yet to experiance that .. ive had mine for about 10 months/ pros : its works great < for me > saves my cell minutes.. < i havent had a land line since 94 > when this came along i bugged friends and family.... just because .. :) so .. how you doing..
39.99 has been all ive paid i will renew for the 5 yr deal cons.. comp must be on.. . < you get used to this.. and its no big deal anymore > edit: i do turn the comp off when i go to work.. vmails get to me if any calls come thru when you do pick up the phone or answer a call.. a magic jack app comes up on the screen . there are ways to remove the above... but since mine is otherwise working GREAT im not gonna temper with it and fall into the " its not working right for me " trap .. i love mine., |
