Do you go to the gym? If so what gym, and how much do you pay?

I stopped going to the gym and just swim, run, and to isometric stuff.

Picture related.

Fitness 19.  $12.99 a month.

They are a no-frills gym that typically locates in smaller neighborhood strip malls.

The poster in the pic who said pushups only work the chest and triceps is incorrect.  Properly executed pushups challenge the entire body.

Anyway back on topic.  I go to Gold's and pay $35/mo. with 2 year contract. At home I don't have the room for the equipment I want- squat rack, glute ham raise, reverse hyper, etc.

my wife and i used to be members of 24hour, be we cut them out recently due to the expense.  well, mine is out, but she occasionally still goes for pilates and spin classes.
i bought an iron gym off amazon, and exercise ball, a curl bar, some free weights and i couldnt be happier with the decision.  i guess im just not that into them anymore; around where i am, if your not 18 and on your 6th cycle of deca, you most likely work out elsewhere.

DoD. Free. CONUS facilites are usually pretty good but sometimes deployed locations are (understandably) lacking.

Fitness first and its about 35 and month. Good deal, 3 miles from the house and nice equipment. I used the tread climber last night and it is an amazing workout, way harder than running.

I workout at home.

I have two sets of adjustable dumbbells (Ironmaster and Powerblock) along with an adjustable bench.  Also have a pull up bar, and commercial Nautilus treadmill.

I'm 32 and in pretty good shape.

I don't do the gym thing we have everything we need at home and it is far more accessible.

We do obviously lack a racquetball court but we make do or due in the garage. We shut the door and I throw the ball really hard at my wife and she dodges it so it is pretty close.

We have the Bowflex free weights, kick bag, bowflex treadmill slash incline stepper and most importantly an ab roller (it doesn't work but I need the frustration) and that thing Wesley Snipes and Chuck Norris sell on TV.

The odd thing is after using that thing my wife always acts like an uppity tax evading black man and I sprout a really weird beard and the area around my eyes looks like a really bad plastic surgery job. It wears off after an hour or so and I am just glad my wife doesn't act like a large blonde former super model.

PS
The Chuck Norris thing doesn't work either but we just happened to have two convenient payments of 29.99 laying around and it was either buy that or the latest George Forman juicer slash chitlin maker.

PSS All of the gyms around here have a Krispy Kreme next to them and we noticed that we'd work out for 2 hours and eat donuts for 3. My wife went from 5'8 size 4 & 125 lbs to well over 180 in 3 weeks I ballooned to 360 and had to have extensive dental work. And folks at work complained that I smelled like icing.

ETA I own page 3 biotches!!!

We have a gym at work. I rarely workout  inside the gym as I prefer running pushups, situps, resistance bands, and body weight exercises which can be done outside.

I am in the gym four days a week...that's just lifting.  I used to go every weekday morning to do cardio as well, but I started running outside again a few months ago instead...less boring than being on a machine for an hour.

Started taking fitness seriously on Nov 21st last year, since then I'm usually at the gym four days a week lifting and doing 30 minutes of cardio, and on the other three days of the week I ride my bicycle for an hour through the neighborhood.  Lots of hills and curves which amounts to awesome interval training.

I paid a year in advance at my gym, so it comes out to about $27 a month for me.
