Where people were discussing painting AR15s and optics. I believe it was Mfingar that knew of a secret technique to paint optics and still allow the original markings to show through. He said he would not tell his secret until something happened, but I don't remember what.

Does anybody remember that? What ever became of it?

Or am I smoking crack

I talking about the company markings on thing like EOtechs and Aimpoints. It was like he had a way to Duracoat the optic while leaving the factory markings and prints untouched.

I will try and find an old pic of his to show you.

You can buy liquid mask at a hobby store works pretty good.

Some reason the AR15 and this hobby is pretty close to RC cars as far as the stuff we do to them ( mods, hacks, all the bolt on, glue on stuff you can hang off of it) .
