Hospital Visit......................$ 4,893.00 5. Forgetting to remove the bore sighting device prior to actually shooting the expensive new deer rifle? Priceless

It really happened.
I know the guy that took the pictures, well, all except the injured guy; that's not related. The rifle did split like that, along the rifling grooves, because the shooter left the bore sighter in the muzzle. No injuries. The receiver was re-barreled and returned to service after being inspected and Magna-Fluxed. |

The rest of it was fine. |

I think that savage held up fine considering the asshat running it.. Looks like this Cheapo Accuracy International, doesn't it.
