Yup.  I get asked the same question about 50 times a day.  And then the next day, same thing, same people.  I suppose that's what I get for babysitting criminals.

Nope

I currently work for myself and I'm keeping decently busy.

Each day is different.

My cycles are with each semester.

"Will you write a report showing student information for A, B, C, and D"

I write a report with a parameter for the user to enter a variable. The next semester I get the same request to write the same report all over again.

I get similar questions each day, but mostly different.

Lately we've been getting a lot of confused customers asking the same question: "Does Sully come here a lot?"

Sully, the pilot that landed the plane on the Hudson River, is from the town I work in.  Our property manager was so inspired by it that he decided to put up a banner acknowledging it.  "WAY TO GO, SULLY!  You've made Danville proud" adorns the overhang on the way into work.

All that has really done is confuse most of the customers into thinking that Sully frequents Peet's Coffee & Tea in Danville.

I have one member of my staff that acts as if everyday is his first day.  I try and give my staff guidelines for action, set examples on how to handle things that are consistent so they are empowered to make decisions without my input on the minutia of the operation.  This guy has to have my input on everything he does regardless if it is a task that is repeated 10 times a day everyday.  I have tried to put him out of my misery, but HR is concerned because he is a minority.  I have a 2 inch thick folder on him from the last 2 years, no joy.

If I ran around the office yelling "FUCK OBAMA" I wouldn't last long.

I beat on computers and databases. Which is a pretty good gig for the most part. Its the people that are the problem.

My boss keeps telling me, "Your too stupid to use a computer." is not a proper response to customers.
