I've got two 11-month old Great Danes. I think they are the best dogs that I've ever had. My Mom adopted a rescued Dane. He's a great dog and I think he very clearly understands that Mom cares for him, in contrast to the first couple years of his life. I've learned that Great Danes are very emotional dogs. They love to please their owners and get offended very easily. One of my Danes is a female, and she's more emotional than her brother, go figure

I have had Coon Dogs, Beagles and Bird Dogs, had a Redbone/Weimer mix that could hunt anything.
Now, all I have is 3 Basset Hounds, we had our Female bred and the Wife said she wanted to keep the first Pup born, I said Ok, she had 4 more pups to make 5 but the last pup was born dead, so we gave it mouth to mouth and he came to life so the Wife HAD to keep that pup also. The Dead one is the smartest and prettiest of them, The Mom is Tri Colored, the dead born is Black & White mostly and the other one is Red 
I am getting a Lab Pup in the Spring to train for Waterfowl hunting |
