So if Glock was perfection, then why the change?

My guess is the new RTF2 (Rough Texture Frame 2) Glock 22 is designed so that in the case of a kB, you will have a firm grip of the IED.

I'm not a huge Glock fan but this new generation just plane looks horrible. Plus those grasping "serrations" look like they'd aid your fingers in slipping OFF the slide...!

You would think that the 4 Gen Glock would be modular grips, but oh no, if you hand is not shaped in the likeness of Gaston then Glock Says Go Fuck Yourself, GSGFY

For the collectors maybe?

Have the workings of the gun changed or just the looks?

I like the originals, they just can't stop themselves.

No its the same because "perfection" means not fully supporting your chamber and being the leader in NDs in the country!

They probably put that out for the whiny folks that can't deal with the original grip.

IMO Gen 2 9mm glocks FTMFW.

It looks as if they atleast made the frame so it wont fragment into quite so many pieces .... the frame looks like it will just be one BIG piece when it KB's.

I haven't tried it, but it may be easier to get a grip with the ((( vs. the |||.

Its sad that the only ergonomic part of the gun is the serations not the frame or grip lol.

Dozens of new polymer pistols have been designed in the past few years incorporating all kinds of improvements, and this is all Glock offers?

The "new" serrations are not serrations at all...its braille for "point toward enemy".

They'll still be selling the standard Glocks, IIRC. The new setup will be an optional config in G17 and G22 flavors, at least for a while.

From the brilliant minds that brought you the .45 GAP, comes a new style of cocking, the Glock Cock!!!

That's what I heard.
I was waiting for interchangeable backstraps, but that wasn't going to happen, so I went with Gen III (which is fine for me).

What I think would be cool, was if they had a way to mold one to your hand.
That would be ideal... go to the gun shop, and squeeze one while sighting on a target.

Then take that off, and they send the mold it to make it for you.

I'd pay extra for that.
I love glocks, but they don't fill my hand unless I have the Houge sleeve on them.

The best slide serrations I've seen were on a S&W M&P.  Wavy.

From what I gather, it isn't the next generation. Just a few optional models like the SF Glocks.

I love how some people think only their pistol is worthy, and everything else is a POS. That applies to fanboys of any brand.

I haven't held one, so I can't say if the grip is better. The slide serrations look goofy, but maybe they do grip better. It isn't really meant to be a "pretty" gun.

+1

I honestly though glock would take a look at improving the trigger, or ergonomics (BACKSTRAPS, EVERYONE'S DOING IT), or mechanical accuracy. Instead?

They make it UGLIER

Just what I always wanted, a gun that shows where the molding ejector pins were positioed in the cavity.
Damn why dont those Plasti-guns Inc.'s just send them to the consumer, like model airplanes...hey maybe they could run a special on the glue too!

Just think, after spending so much money on your "kit'-o-plastic" you could start huffing the glue to knock the edge off of what you just pissed your money away on!
