| As a recovering grammar nazi, I must point out the majority of the "acronyms" on this site are actually just abbreviations. RAdio Detection And Ranging (RADAR), Self Contained Underwater Breathing Apparatus (SCUBA) and Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation (LASER) are examples of acronyms. Simply put, if you can make a new word out of it, it's an acronym. If you cannot, it's just an abbreviation e.g. OST, IBTL. |
