Any of you guys use this service? How do you like it?

I use them with the $8.99 package and I really like the watch instantly feature.  I have the computer hooked up to a digital projector.

Love it!  I have the 3 at one time unlimited plan.  The turn around time is quick as well.  If I mail them back on Monday, they get them Tuesday, and I get the next ones on Wednesday.  I usually take 2-3 days to watch them before sending them back to Netflix.  They also have a huge selection.  I have 500 selections in my queue.

I like it. You can search for obscure movies and add them to your queue whenever you want. More than once, I read about a movie here on arfcom, jumped over to Netflix and ordered it. Their shipping is pretty fast too.

The friggen best !!!  On Time . Have all the good stuff. I get 2 at a time.
Also all of those TV series that you miss because you dont have time. You can order the series a couple discs at a time . Best part NO FUGGIN comercials!

I loved it until I ran out of movies to watch. They don't get new releases fast enough IMO and their watch instantly is kind of lacking. Now i'm just ordering all the TV series I want to rewatch.

I have the basic, one-movie-at-a-time plan and like it just fine.  It's probably not worth the money unless you watch the movies pretty quickly and get them returned.  Keeping them out for a few weeks at a time isn't a good way to maximize your movie-per-dollar.

I've been on Netflix for a couple years now.  Works just like you think it does.

You go to their site, pick some movies, put them in your queue, reorganize them if you want, and sit back.  They come to your mailbox, you watch them, you mail them back and they send you more.

I have not partaken in the 'watch now' online feature, yet.

Put outgoing movies in the mail on Monday, and I have new ones in my mailbox on Thursday.  It was a day faster when I was in my apartment, as long as I got them in the mailbox before the mail dude picked it up.

I have used it and really liked it.  The turn-around time is pretty good, about 2 days.
I had the one at a time, two at a time, three at a time and five at a time plans.
Three or five is nice because you will usually always have something to watch.
New releases come out on tuesdays usually, so make sure that you
have sent something back either on friday or Saturday and you'll get
the new release.  Otherwise you'll have to wait for it.  I didn't like Blockbuster's movies by mail.  The turn around time was horrible.  Maybe they've changed though.
I am not using Netflix now, I'm getting all the movies I want for free at
the library.

Yeah..after a couple of years I hit that point a few months ago...Been watching a lot of older movies and a few foreign movies lately

2 at a time unlimited here, watching "Generation Kill" as I type.

I also take advantage of the watch online feature

Anyone have the box to do the watch instantly on your tv?
1/7/2009 1:13:24 PM EDT

I had it for a few months and canceled it after running out of movies I wanted to see

If you have an Xbox 360 the Netflix streaming feature is really cool.

They are also really good for documentaries.  I have gotten some great ones that would have taken ages to get through inter-library loan.  I will warn you that you'll quickly become frustrated watching regular TV after getting it.  Not being able to watch an entire season in one week is a pain.

Seeing all these glowing reports here about their turnaround time may make me give them a second chance yet.

My only experience with them was several years ago, when they were still relatively new, and it took a week or more from the time I put one in the mail until its replacement arrived.  Everyone I talk to, without exception, says that they have greatly improved since then.

I have had it for a while now and I like it.  Return them Monday and get new ones on Wed.  Make sure you have a good list though.  As long as you do not want to see new releases as soon as they come out it is a great service.
1/7/2009 1:16:22 PM EDT
[#17]
1 at a time and I always get the new releases I have in que. I've seen most movies so I am only interested in new releases. Even 1 movie a week at $8.99 is still less than 1/2 of what I used to pay renting at blockbuster and now I don't have to drive anywhere. I can actually get a couple of movies a week so they end up about a buck a movie!!
1/7/2009 1:16:47 PM EDT
[#18]
Not half bad. We get 3 movies a month + streaming online and to our xbox. They have some good movies available for streaming, and shows like Heroes and The Office. Plus we can just have new releases we want to see mailed to us. Pretty cool. $18 a month.
1/7/2009 1:19:14 PM EDT

I also do the $8.99 package, and I stream to my xbox 360.

I think i'd need to buy a seperate box, so it may not be worth it for me. I have a direct tv DVR, not a regular tivo.

We have been using them for at least two years and we like their fast turnaround.  We use the watch instantly feature fairly often and although it lacks some picture quality, we like it.
1/7/2009 1:26:51 PM EDT
[#25]
I think it is great, o course it was better when I watched lot more movies.  They have the best selection you can pretty much find any obscure movie you want and you can keep them as log as you feel like so there is no pressure to return them.  Of course the longer you keep them the less of a value it is for you.  For me in Pittsburgh the turn-around time is excellent, if I drop it off early enough I can have the new one the next day.

Use it and love it.
I got the 2 DVD at a time with unlimited streaming to my xbox, and if you want bluray access its a $1 more a month

I love it. I use it mostly to watch entire seasons of a TV show at a time.

Most of the stuff that they let you watch online is crap.

Thats what I have been extremely happy with is their turnaround. The only problem was a few months back they had some computer issues  which screwed up dlivery but they were very up front about it . Also gave a couple extra movies for free for a month.

I really like netflix.

I never used the watch instantly feature until they allowed it to stream through the Xbox so now I can watch them on the TV without any hassle.

Beats the hell out of going to Blockbuster.  I think they provide a great service and their turnaround is extremely fast.

Three at a time for a couple years now.  Now that I've got a computer with a DVD drive, I just pop in a movie or show, watch it and surf the web at the same time.

they were good, we had the 3 movie rotation which worked out well, its a cheap way to get new movies.burn a copy then send it back
1/7/2009 2:04:29 PM EDT
[#34]
I used to run into a problem when I used it a lot they would throttle back and slow down how often I could get movies. Basically I would get netflix in the fall and watch a lot of movies through the winter, then by about end of Jan or Feb they would start slowing down how fast I would get them back (3 at a time plan) so I would cancel it and start it up again in the fall.

Now we have had something like a 5 at a time plan but they sit around the house forever so they never throttle us down.

I haven't been to a bricks and mortar video store in years.  They come in the mail.  They stream over the Internet to laptop to my TV.  I just hooked my brothers Xbox up and they stream over that, too.

My .02 - If you watch DVD's enough to make the plan you select comparable or cheaper then renting at the store, SIGN UP without thinking twice about it.

Same.  I'm on the cheap plan (one at at time, but unlimited, and I can watch movies online).  It's so much better than when I had a blockbuster and then later a hollywood account.  I highly recommend them.

I have an HTPC that projects to 103" screen with full surround sound. I rent 3/week blu ray. The instant watch is ok. The moves on it mostly suck.

The service is good and woth the money.

I liked it.  The only thing I hated about it is they do not put the good NEW releases on display even though they have a "New Releases" box.

If you don't know the movie is being released, it'll be months before Netflix tells you.

Also, they still 'put the brakes on' your account if you watch and return movies too quickly.  Hence their new plans.

I cancelled because I've seen most everything good, some multiple times, and there isn't much else out there I'm interested in for the time being.

Granted, last summer had some really good movies but I've been going to the Blockbuster store on the corner to get the few good movies I wanna see.

Overall, very good service.

I get one movie at a time and turn around is really fast.  I can't stand the instantly movies very limited on what you can watch.  If they would let watch any movie then it would be awesome.

I have one at a time unlimited.  I love the online streaming feature.  They seem to have many choices in movies, tv, documentaries, etc.   I've had one movie show up cracked but they replaced it when I sent it in.

If you're not into Indie/Foreign/Old stuff, I don't know why you'd want Netflix.

Netflix is not for people who want to the see the latest movies right now. It's for movie fans who want to get their hands on every movie on DVD.

I have 200 movies in my Queue and could easily fill it up with 200 more. I've had the 2 at a time plan for a year and have barely scratched the surface. The online selection is decent and getting better all the time.

People who run out of movies need to expand their horizons.

I'm not a new release person so I love Netflix.  I have been a member for six years.  My blue ray player streams the instant movies to my 60" Sony so I went down to the one at a time plan and still have plenty to watch.

I almost never go into movie rental stores.

I watch it using my Xbox 360. It kinda sucks though, only a few movies that I like are available

The problem with watching it on your TV is that the resolution sucks. I don't why they do this, but its formatted to be small on your computer screen, and when you use fullscreen on your TV it can be blurry.
