Posted on Fri, Jan. 02, 2009 Man jumps out of car, dies after being struck by vehicle By Ashley Tusan Joyner A Jeffersonville man was killed on U.S. 80 late Wednesday when he jumped from a moving vehicle and was struck by a drunken driver, according to the Georgia State Patrol in Dublin. Tanorrie Stephens, 30, was pronounced dead at The Medical Center of Central Georgia early Thursday, trooper David Bryant said. Stephens was a passenger in the back seat of a red Oldsmobile Cutlass driven by 31-year-old Shronda Blount, of Elm Street in Macon, when he exited the sedan as it was headed westbound on the Twiggs County highway, Bryant said. A 1990 white S-10 Chevrolet pickup following the Cutlass, driven by 39-year-old Angela Shine, struck Stephens, Bryant said. “Why this man decided to jump out of the vehicle I don’t know. Based on statements from family, this is something he has tried before,” Bryant said. Toxicology results and an autopsy are pending, according to authorities. Shine was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol, Bryant said. The incident remains under investigation by the Georgia State Patrol. |

Of all the fucking ways to get busted for a DUI, somebody else fucking you up has got to be the worst. Really. I have read of people just sitting at a red lite waiting for the green, and someone hits them from behind. They are on their way home from a couple of beers, and ...DUI from just sitting there. |
