December 15 marks America’s Bill of Rights Day, the anniversary of the ratification of the Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution. To commemorate this event, we have created the Second Amendment Book Bomb, a unique and powerful way to communicate the importance of the Bill of Rights’ Second Amendment for the protection of liberty. With your help, we can launch constitutional rights to the top of national book bestseller lists, making a loud and clear statement that Second Amendment rights are inalienable! |

Hey, its all about history, the development of the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, thoughts, letters and ramblings by the Founding Fathers on the role arms would play in the new America blah, blah, blah...
...all that boring crap... Nobody in this country cares about that shit. Might as well be a history of pencils.... Most of the fucks in this nation wouldn't know where to start even if they had an interest in their own history. Much less actually read about it. Government schools don't actually teach folks to read anymore, do they? Just sit in front of the boob tube. Right where they want you. Americans deserve the government they get. And they deserve the slavery that goes with it. |

Not much need for education.
Everyone has a masters in Jumping to Conclusions. Halbrook wrote the amicus for 33 Senators, VP Cheney and over 200 members of the House in the Heller Case. You cannot find a more pro-2nd or more prolific writer on the 2nd. It's an attempt to grap the attention of the nation on our rights and especially the 2nd. Just like the bradys, the nytimes et al are attempting to call us nuts for believing RKBA means anything in this day and age of enlightenment and peace on earth. |

From the above link, David Kopel writes:
"I read the Halbrook book when it was in page proofs earlier this year. It is by far the best historical examination of the Second Amendment in the Founding Era. No matter how advanced your knowledge of the Second Amendment, you will learn a great deal from this book. Alan Gura used the book extensively in preparing his brief in D.C. v. Heller... "Over the last 30 years, Stephen Halbrook has done more than any other scholar to bring to light the history of the Second Amendment. He has a 3-0 record in the Supreme Court, and in Heller, he wrote the Congressional amicus brief on behalf of 55 members of the Senate, the Senate President (Richard Cheney), and 250 members of the House of Representatives." |

I have this book and its great! Im not sure why they are re-releasing this book, or maybe there is a diffrent updated version, but I have had mine for 5-6 months. You can get this book from the NRA websight for a donation of 20.00 well worth it. Also check out the t-shirts. Join up while you are at it, if you are not allready.

He's already helped us by getting onerous laws overturned, and is one of the best Constitutional Law practitioners extant, and does a lot of pro bono work. He has won three cases before the Supreme Court: Printz v. United States, United States v. Thompson/Center Arms Company, and Castillo v. United States. The guy is the real deal, and sharper than a katana.
be more of a statement if he donated most of his profits to NRA Take a second and google the guy. |

Quoted: lol...lets all buy the book to enrich the author....what a joke.... What's REALLY funny is the way Heller gets free commemorative firearms out the wazoo for being little more than a plaintiff in a case, and yet the guy who had one of the biggest hands in winning the case gets nothing but whining and cynicism from the peanut gallery... ![]() |

Just ordered mine. Sure, it'll just be one more in the pile of 2A history books I've got. But you never know where you will find some new gem of data. I'm reading a history of American beer brewing right now and it mentions a few riots in the 1800s over alcohol that resulted in the use of cannon. Cannon?! Now that's a serious riot. And yet no one tried to ban civilian ownership of cannon. Go figure.
Plus it's Bill Of Rights Day. What better time to buy a book on the history of the Second Amendment? ETA: And the price on Amazon is $19.11. You gotta love that! |

Did anyone else NOT get their book from Barnes & Noble? It was supposed to be in stock, but I checked the status a week or two later and it said it would deliver around January 2nd. Then I got another e-mail saying I needed to go to their website and approve a "30-day order extension" within 24hrs or they would cancel it... an e-mail that I didn't see within 24hrs. It looks like they've canceled my order.
What about those of you who ordered from somewhere else? Did you get your book yet? |

I ordered from Amazon on the night before the Book Bomb (if that makes sense) and received both copies in time to get one signed for a gift to a fellow ARFCommer (the one who sent me Obama's book, among others... LOL).
