My old polypros have finally given up the ghost. I've been surfing Military Morons for a bit but haven't been able to nail down a purchase yet.

What are you using for a polypro/base layer in cold weather? I'm heading off into the hills in two weeks and need to buy something tonight or tomorrow...

Thanks in advance.

Same here.  It's comfortable and value-priced.

Under Armour shit is good but comes with a price.

I've been using Under-Armour Cold Gear the past few years and don't think I'll ever bother getting anything else now to be honest.  It's kind of spendy, but completely worth it when you're perfectly warm sitting outside all day when it's 4 degrees.

There is a two page thread about thermals here, http://www.ar15.com/forums/topic.html?b=1&f=5&t=798449

I like the Duofold Expedition weight.  Very warm and not pricey like the Yuppie branded stuff.

I have a few of these and they work well...

Up here in Alaska many of us wear what  we call LONG JOHNS.
We just go buy them at the store, same place we buy ammo.

I have been wearing DuFold wool blend long johns for over 25 years now.

I used to wear duofold, but they weren't cutting it on a recent fishing trip.  I made the switch to Patagonia Capilene.  Lots of different styles and weights to choose from.

It's the only baselayer I'll wear.  It's that good.

Checkout Smartwool, if you don't mind paying a lot.  Very comfortable and good performance though.

Otherwise, the Duofold two-layer with wool.

I use DuoFold as well.

Under Armour is overmarketed and overpriced.  I say this as a person who was wearing UA before it got popular (around the time the stupid "we will protect this house" commercials came out).

Heard good stuff about Patagonia capilene, just be aware that it is $$$.
