yes, again, I must bring this up.
I have a couple machines (and some dual boot) with linux and windoze I'm using linux more and more... windoze just tends to piss me the fuck off more often than not. I had to copy a drive today and the POS windoze wouldn't let me for some reason (I am admin on this machine) anyway, I got tired of fucking around with it and booted up linux and everything went well there. I just finished 30 some gig of file transfer... fucking m$ and their arrogant ways.. fuck'em and obama too! eta: now I can see a relationship with m$ and users (even mac & its users)... its akin to obama and his coolaid drinkers/ more government control and users who are too dumb to realize it. |

I've tried to get away from Windows, but I didn't like the "Mac Way" and I find Linux too hard to mess with from an administrative perspective.
Not the kernel, but all the other junk one needs to manage from time to time, such as applications, GUI, installing 3rd party drivers, etc. Could I learn it? Yes. Is it worth my time? No. Until someone come ups with a system that is configurable like.. something more like Cisco ISO, that has some level of system wide consistency, I'm not gonna bother learn every developer's personal preferences on how the world should work. 
For all their flaws, MS is leaps and bounds better with being standardized and documented. |
