What are you drinking with your meals. For example if I eat cucumbers and milk i get the shits. If I drink Langer's Apple juice (The one that has a picture of a lion) i get the shits. Try to drink only water or unsweetened iced tea. I figure any sugar can't help the situation. |

Greasy, high fat, fried foods are relatively consistent in your description. I have a family member who can not eat high fat foods without paying the price (the BIG D). Sound like it's also fairly consistent when you're eating out. I don't think mildly spicy is going to give you the shits, burners maybe, but not the shits. Focus on low fat foods for a week and see what happens. |

So your body can't handle greasy, oily, fatty foods and you think you have a problem? Your body is saving you from yourself. But I have always eaten fatty foods...I thought my body was used to that
Red meat...that's another problem...a rare steak can give me problems...and I love to eat my steak blood rare

Get yourself tested for teh celiacs. You probably caught it on a mexican toilet.
Seriously - If you are allergic to gluten (i.e. celiac) , all the foods you listed have gluten (a wheat protien) and will give you super projectile ejections. If you are celiac/gluten intolerant and you keep eating gluten, it can give you a higher chance of intestinal cancer. |

The way to tell if you have crohn's is if you can clear an entire house with one fart. Also having gas almost constantly. I have a buddy that had this and he literally could not pass gas without it smelling like the fetid wind of death. Since he got his bowels re-sectioned and changed his diet he is much better. Jer |

Do you wash your hands enough right before eating? Do you use the paper towel to turn off the facet and open the door? I never see anybody wash their hands before sitting down to eat when dinning out.
Look on the bright side sounds like guilt free eating if you crap it out right away |

Jer Only occasionally do I get a fart to be proud of

I have a problem....no joke here.... I love certain foods...but certain foods don't love me...some seem to go right through me... For instance...hot wings...even just 5 or 6...9 times out of 10...off to the bathroom...especially those served at Buffalo Wild Wings One small greasy pizza....off to the bathroom within 20-30 minutes Spicy foods such as Mexican....off to the pot within 20-30 minutes Ribs...especially Applebees or Famous Daves...EVERY TIME WITHOUT FAIL...off to the pot I don't get it...it seems like foods that are very spicey...have a a sugary sauce...or have a lot of grease go right through me almost every time. I have to be damned carefull about what I choose to eat because the need to purge suddenly can get downright embarrasing...and it often takes two trips to the pot to get over the Diarrhea WTF??? I am not eating a crap ton of candy, chowing down on 20 lbs of citrus and a gallon of ice cream every day..so why is this happening? Never seemed to happen that often in my younger years. I really don't want to swear off spicy foods...such as wings, ribs, and Mexican...I live to eat that stuff Get checked for a wheat intolerance or celiac disease. |

Not type of food particular though. Guess I will have to try Metamucil. |
| Any blood? I have ulcerative colitis and it took me literally shitting my pants before I went to the doc. Now, I just shit liquids and I'm OK with that. I denied it for months but eventually I bit the bullet and went to the doc. Don't screw around with this. You need to go to the doctor. |

Eat some yogurt everyday. You need good digestive bacteria in your gut. Yogurt (and Kefir) helps with that. Ask your doctor. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Probiotic

I see you're enjoying the glories of the gastrocolic reflex.
It's not what you just ate that you're passing out. Food takes about a day (give or take 6 hours) to work its way from your mouth to your rectum. If it's any help, what you're crapping out after dinner today is what you ate for dinner YESTERDAY. Consistent diarrhea could be any number of things... celiac disease, IBS, parasitic, carcinoid, etc, etc, etc, etc.... Go see a GI specialist if you're really interested in chasing it down. |
|
How often do you eat these foods? I use to have a similiar problem when I was eating 3-4 steaks a week, the fatty ribeye and porterhouse ones, on top of drinking a big gulp of diet pepsi every day. Eventually I figured it out and went to eating steak once a week or every other week and going to unsweeted ice tea (sweet and low added of course). Chicken, fish and shellfish can be a pretty good and don't give me the issues that the high fat stuff did.
BTW - not a big believer in the IBS stuff. I was diagnosed with it when I was 16-17 and it only lasted for about a year and went away shortly there after. Turned out to be stress... |

Jer I have UC and while it's pretty well under control now, my flatulence is under examination by the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. |
