Today I purchased my first AR. I ordered a S&W M&P15T, I'm so stoked. I don't have a delivery date yet, but I can't wait to get this thing to the range and start adding all kinds of goodies! Woo Hoo for the 2nd Amendment!

Nah, I bought my first one complete too, $1100 for an ArmaLite.  Lots of money but a great gun, and it sets the standard you will use against all the ones you do end up building after.  I've built 3 since and made them just as nice as my first factory one.

Enjoy your new AR!!!

I bought my first AR during the ban.  It was a Bushmaster XM15 and I paid $950 for it.  I didn't know any better, but the gun runs like a champ!

ETA:  Welcome to the site OP, enjoy your new gun!

Thanks everyone!

It wasn't to bad of price, Military/Police Rate. I've got a laundry list of accessories I want.

I've got plenty of mags saved up from OEF/OIF.

I know there are perks to being in the .mil as I am. However, some sometimes and often times take it a bit personally when you brag about owning procured .mil items.......just sayin.

That said,
Welcome to the site and have fun with your AR. It's addicting, just don't SBR it and you'll be just fine. You do that, and well, you're pretty much fucked, man.
