I have Progressive and have been with them for 6 months. My insurance expires in a week and I am going through the renewal process. When I signed up it was $392 for the coverage. Now they want $443 for the exact same coverage. I have not received any tickets or gotten into any accidents since I have used them as an insurer.

When I was with AIG for 3 years my rate never changed. What gives?

Drop their ass. I got on insurance.com back in June, found the cheapest coverage, took it, and am about to have to do it all over again. Every 6 months everyone will have the ability to earn my business.

Nevermind I found out why. The first 6-months I am with them they chop $50 off the total price as a promotional thing. Didn't read that when I first signed up.

It also seems that they charge slightly more every other six months.  I don't know why, but biannually, my bill is slightly higher––reverting back the following six months.

I've noticed a marked decrease in my premium lately

It's simple, you have PROGRESSIVE Insurance.

The name alone should have told you that they have no fiscal sense and will raise your taxes rates as soon as they figure out that the plan they sold you would not make them any money.

Fuck Progressives!
