there is nothing the matter with them but many people like myself are pissed that they do not yet offer a swiss looking version without it costing an arm and a leg

It's a good weapon.

Some people hate the factory stock furniture on them.

To each his own.

They are good.  I like mine, I don't think I'd trade it.  That said at present they are selling way above actual worth and I think they are a lousy deal if you have other firearms you'd like to have.  I got mine JUST before the late unpleasantness really got under way  and I still think it was a little too expensive.  I like the Commando models, which is what I got my hands on, but they are harder to find.

As for how it runs well, it runs like a sewing machine and that's what matters to me.  Mine runs great and hits what I aim at.  What's not to like.

In the late 80s, early 90s a Sig 550 was selling for $2200. The last few years, I've seen them go for $7500-10000?

There are 3 of us here that have been shooting them for a few months now...

Pros:

1. very fast follow up shots - not much muzzle movement and the action is very smooth

2. do not need much maint. - especially with suppressors

3. very reliable so far

Cons:

1. if you've trained with an AR, the safety/selector location will not feel right (not easy to manipulate). Could probably be made better with a different grip.

2. a little heavier than most ar's (see #1 above though)

3. the folding stock mechanism (if so equipped) is plastic and the retainer for the pin has fallen off one already. It should have been aluminum (like the old Ace folding adapters) IMO.

4. Factory charging handle is in the way of some optics mounts - there is an aftermarket handle out there now, but we haven't tried it.

I like mine, but it is not an AR - if you don't mind the differences, its a good weapon.

YMMV
