Figures, the hose jockeys would do that.

Last mass casualty drill we had (school shooting) the EMS personell REFUSED to come close to the school even after the two shooters had been eliminated.  The wouldn't come anywhere close, until the school had been completely cleared.  That would take HOURS so meanwhile, victims were bleeding out and EMS REFUSED to help them.

I am very happy for them/their fans/you. I actually rooted for them today so that the Colts lead over the Jags would remain in-tact. It is definitly past time for the Titans to see a great regular season. That being said, I believe the Titans will have to have a few more very good seasons before they reach for the ring. It's just the way it works. If I am wrong, more power to you. Being a die-hard Colts fan, I can say that it is very nice to finally see the AFC South with more than one legit playoff contender. The same way that is nice to see someone other than the Colts and Pats dominate the AFC. Don't get me wrong,  I would love nothing more than to see the Colts win it all again, but I believe that if your team wins the Super Bowl, you are due for some lack-luster seasons to follow and you should not bitch to much about it (dynasties are a thing of the past in the NFL). I am however very happy that my team has finally pulled it's head (most of the way) out of it's ass and are finding ways to get a W on gameday. I look forward to seeing/playing the Titans later this season/playoffs. The last game we played was nothing short of AWESOME! Next time, it might take more than a last second field goal to beat us, then again maybe not. Either way Game On!!!!!

Congrats to you and Fisher, you guys deserve it.........!

Don't get me started.  Eagles ended in a tie this afternoon.  If there was ever two teams that did not deserve to win...

And the officiating in OT just plain sucked rotten donkey balls.

Been there, done that.

I've been saying the Titans will go all the way, but after Cassel's performance Thursday night I think Belichick has a chance to stop 'em if the defense shows up to play.

Dunno about Knoxville, but we did defeat the team in Nashville 2 years ago, and end their playoff hopes as I recall....

As a Damn Yankee I have to see the Pats through, but if they falter I'll throw my support behind Tennessee!  It's kind of a Blue vs Gray thing, my brother lives in Clarksville.

See, this is the problem I have. Then and now are not the same thing. They won 17 strait games to go undefeated. Technically the Patriots did break their record seeing as how they won 18 in a row. Now, if you want to say they didn't win it all so they never matched the Dolphins record, ok, but the Dolphins didn't have to go 19/20-0. Take Ruth's record of 60 home runs. Would you consider Maris's 61 a separate record or one in the same? Maris did break his record, but not in the same amount of games. True I realize the argument can be thrown out because Bonds broke it in fewer games, but at some point you've got to have it one way or the other.

I love you, Bro... I'll let you get away with that kind of shit.

I supppose for completely untrained folks that's a prudent position. I'd do it differently but then again, I work where I do because it isn't Green Lawns $uburb-ville.

When they started trying to assemble a TEMS unit here, a few of the guys (who weren't in good enough shape anyway) had a hard-on about the way they selected the first guys.

They made various BS arguments - I countered with the fact that this was a voluntary program, and nobody would be compelled to participate.

They fell back on "responder safety" as taught in every EMT class and included in our protocol as a reason to 86 the program.

I was pissed, but it was because I'd been asked to join a similar program back in 1996 - before anybody even knew WTF "TEMS" was, and before most of these guys had been on the job. It got nixed due to the SWAT boss backing the wrong mayoral candidate, and the three of us went back to regular FD stuff.

I asked them how many of them had ever retrieved a patient under arms.

[>:/] "Huh?"

How many of you guys bitching about this have gone in to get a patient with cops - guns drawn - providing cover for you and your partner?

<crickets>

Well, when you guys have, come talk to me. The only other guy who has (my partner on the call) isn't bitching about this gig so STFU.

[/threadjack] Sorry OP. We now resume your football post already in progress.

The Lions have sucked, to one degree or another, for at least the past 30 years.

They've had numerous different players, coaches, and front office personnel. The one constant through all this failure is the ownership. It pisses me off to no end when the sports talking heads won't go on the offensive with the Ford family and tell them to get out of the football business.

Why won't sports talk radio go after the owners?
