BUY GM!

You would have made 50% if ya bought yesterday and sold at today's peak.  A few hours left, not sure what the current price is.

Was $2.09 or something ridiculous at yesterday's closing

Put a bunch on the wall and throw darts.  Thats about as good a way to evaluate most penny stocks as actual research.

Although you might put some in a long term biotech play that I've been holding for years. Ticker is ONCY...

The problem (well, one of the biggest problems) with penny stocks is the huge float.  There are so many shares that the 50,000 - 100,000 shares you might buy would be a drop in the bucket.  The worth of the company would have to go up like Microsoft for you to make any money.

Another problem is the spread between bid and ask.  What you buy it for and what you can sell it for are too far apart.  Lots of times, the stock would have to rise 20-50% before you could break even.

Penny stocks exist to make tons of money for the underwriter and the inside stockholders.  I speak as a reformed stockbroker.  They're a scam.
Stay away from them.

I wouldn't tell you how to spend or invest your money, but in a few weeks I'd buy some PAL and maybe some PAL.WS.

Not sure if you can do it from your Scottrade account, but if you just want something to play with, find a good stable company with a DRIP plan and put it in there then forget about it for 20-30 years.

If it goes nowhere, it was only $150.

with its recent price drop, GE has a great P/E and the dividend payment per dollar invested is pretty nice as well
