Find a specialist affilitated with a major university or medical center that has done lots and lots of them.

Mine went very well. Previously I could barely make out faces at 10 feet and now I have 20/20 vision in my right eye and 20/15 in my left.

I would recommend you stick with glasses.  If something goes wrong, you have no recourse.
