Of Americans polled, 9% had terrorism as high on their priority list. It took only seven years for America to forget about 9/11 and the manner in which it was delivered.........................

Am I the only one surprised (and EXTREMELY dissapointed) to hear this?

Wow, hadn't heard that. Pretty sad

What was Global Climate Change, 3%?

And last year it was a near death-cult religion to liberals.  At least those nuts are easy to spot with the band-aid on the backs of their necks.

You think the TSA did anything to stop terror?  hahahahhahahahhahahhahhahhah

I think this is a good thing.  Terrorism cannot be stopped, and the best defense is self defense.  Mass hysteria doesn't do anyone any good.  To me this says that Bin Laden's attacks were 91% unsuccessful. If we aren't in terror, then he isn't a very good terrorist, is he?

More people are losing their jobs home etc than died in terrorists attacks. Your also more likely to be effected by the economy so its not much of a suprise to me.

Agreed.  You're more likely to get hit by lightning or die in a car accident than be a victim of a terrorist attack.  It's nothing worth getting your panties in a twist over.

Yup. Broke the plastic-credit housing market into turmoil and put us EXACTLY where we are.  So the issue was the ECONOMY? but hey! I paid 1.99 on Monday, no need to drill now, I think I'll give Obama a chance.....

This or the simple fact that anyone who takes the time to be "polled" about something, without fucking with the pollster, has more time ready to hand than sense.

I remember seeing neighbors American flags wadded up and stuffed in the corner of their porches a month after the attacks.

Out of sight and out of mind. I hate to say it but a large number of americans are dumber than the dirt they walk on. They live only for today and never think of the future or past. That has been very obvious with this current housing crisis. There hasn't been a terrorist attack in this country for years so people have just let it slip their minds and many believe it will probably never happen again.

We truly have some people in this country that live in a different world. That can be proven by the fact that we now have a socialist, anti-american as president-elect. Some people truly do not understand what happens under socialism and communism.

There's nothing naive about trivializing the threat of terrorism.

On 9/11 the terrorists got as lucky as they possibly could have, and executed a brilliant plan by exploiting gaps in our security.  Despite all of the money spent since then on the TSA and homeland security, only two things are preventing another airline hijack:  uparmored cockpit doors with armed pilots, and a new passenger mindset.  The passengers on 9/11 believed their hijacked planes would land and they would be safe.  That is no longer the case, and will never be again.

You are more likely to be killed by sharks or bees than terrorists.

This is all moot anyway, there is no way to prevent terrorism.  The only thing you can do is not let them win by scaring you.

I saw some poll yesterday that said only 30% of voters voted for the candidate they thought best represented their values. While 57% said they voted for the candidate most likely to bring change.

Probably 95% of the people I work with couldn't tell you what Obamas  stance on National Defense is!!

All they wanted was hope and change, If he cuts the Military, My company expects to lose 50% of it Military dollars..............who know who or when but if that happens lay off will begin and I say throw the Obama supporters out first!!! They can Hope  and Change that at the bank for nothing I am sure!!!!

Probably 50% that work there  have no idea that the high tech weapons we use,and make parts for, save American lives!!!

One guy thought the Patriot Missile and the GMLRS  have the same mission!!

It will take more than one attack for America to realize that it can still happen if we don't defend ourselves.

If you don't think Clinton's defense and intelligence budget cuts of 35% throughout his two terms contributed to 9/11, then you are naive...

No way to prevent terrorism ???

Hmmm... try cutting and pasting...  They exemplify in part that terrorism can be prevented with an increased intelligence and defense initiative.
