My office building is having a pumpkin decorating contest tomorrow.  This is my entry.

The base is .25" plywood covered in felt.  Linus, Sally, the moon and the pumpkin patch were drawn in Adobe Illustrator and mounted on posterboard.  The moon is mounted on thin plexiglass and attached to the back of the base.

The Great Pumpkin is attached to 14 ga. galvanized wire wrapped with green pipe cleaners.  I made felt leaves to make it look like vines.

First prize is $100.  Wish me luck.

UPDATE:  The votes are in...

I got a rock.

ETA: Good luck!

That's pretty good. You need Chuck with a "sample" of the pumpkin on the back of his noggin - like in the show.

For some reason I thought this might have something to do with Linus Pauling.

Goddamn freeloaders.

The innocence of my childhood which I so innocently clung to through Charlie Brown cartoons has now been tarnished.  I don't know whether to curse you or applaud you.

I really like the model, it brought back some childhood memories

Good luck with the competition!

Is it just me... or does every thread need a douche?

I remember being conflicted as a child, on whether to spend extra time trick or treating, or allot enough time to also include the Charlie Brown Halloween cartoon. LOL. Decisions, decisions. I preferred the years in which they would air it either a day before or a day after the designated trick or treat night. Best of both worlds.

By the way, my guess is if you have any ladies at your workplace, they will think that this is "soooo cute" and some of that sentiment may transfer to you

... so remember...

Mrs. PhotoKirk would solve that problem with about a dozen 147-grain JHPs.  No worries.

Holy crap, you put a lot of effort into that diorama
If you don't win it would be awesome if you posted a vid of you destroying it with fire and/or shooting it.

1

Linus Carl Pauling (February 28, 1901 – August 19, 1994) was an American scientist, peace activist, author and educator. He was one of the most influential chemists in history and ranks among the most important scientists in any field of the 20th century.

Pauling was among the first scientists to work in the fields of quantum chemistry, molecular biology and orthomolecular medicine. He is one of a small number of individuals to have been awarded more than one Nobel Prize, one of only two people to receive them in different fields (the other was Marie Curie) and the only person in that group to have been awarded each of his prizes without sharing it with another recipient.[1]

Maybe the reason all the negative feedback is happening, is that you need to cater it to the AR15.com target audience... May I recommend the following suggestions?

She says yours is better though.  She loves Peanuts.  Matter of fact, she made me watch "It's the Great Pumpkin" earlier tonight.

No, I posted a DIFFERENT fucking video. The stupid fucking retarded asinine post editor that is dumber than a broken horsecock fucked it up.

Notice how MY ENTIRE POST is one big link if you click on it, and it leads to your link? Notice how the URL I posted, as well as the video title, is different from yours?

Yeah, now you should feel as stupid as the video editor. Go watch my video now.
