I haven't done shit. I spent all damn day re working a brochure for a client only to have them tell me(two hours ago) it was wrong when they got the proof. They then proceeded to call me all sorts of mean, nasty un-called for names, and question how I can have my job when I am so obviously incompetent. Then to top it all off, said client couldn't even apologize when said client realized that they did not email me the revised versions of the content of said brochure, which explained perfectly why the content of the brochure was wrong in the first place. I won't be in the office tomorrow because I have to photograph two soccer games, so nothing is going to get done on it. I have another more important job lined up for the few hours I will be in the office on Friday, then I have to leave to shoot a Hockey tournament. I guess I could have used these last two hours to at least do the necessary photoshop work, but I just didn't feel like it. So someone is not getting their shit printed Friday because of their own stupidity and inability to accept responsibility for their own fuck up.. Don't piss off your graphic designer folks |
Ah, I remember those days... Good times. Good times. Did your boss take credit for your work when all went well? I had a bitch boss who put his name on a PRSA award for work that I did. It won and I later saw it in the paper when the winners were announced. I asked him about it. He said, "Yeah, but it was my concept." I showed him my concept sketches and told him that only a small man takes credit for the creativity of others. What I really wanted to do was cold cock him right then and there. I'll take the bitchy clients any day. |

Last time he did it, it was for a poster of Bears rookie Matt Forte that one of the Chicago Bears photographers wanted. It's ok though because the photographer knew who really did the work. In fact he gave me a nice 8x10 print of Brett Favre from his second year with the Packers. I have one of the half sized proofs(#2 of 12) that I am going to be giving to the Bears fan in the family for Christmas. |
