I just got my first wireless mouse and it doesn't say in the directions if I need to power this thing off when I'm not using it. Will the batteries die if I leave it on 24/7 or does it have some kind of power saver or something? It is a Logitech btw.

as long as you're not moving it around or clicking any of the buttons, it will not send signals that use power from the battery

It will 'go to sleep' after a few minutes of not using it.

I get about 2-3 months out of a single AA battery on mine (also a logitech).

None of mine have switches.  The batteries last forever.

They detect motion and then "sleep".  I've had the same batteries in my M$ mouse for at least 6 months and it's still going.
