Can the LAW ammunition tubes purchased online or through an army navy store? A friend of mine wanted the tube to hold some axle shafts and I figure they sell those military ammo cans all over the internet, so I figure I would ask you guys after searching high and low. Any ideas? Thanks. EDIT: Just to clarify, I do not want a demilled LAW, just the missile ammunition tube if that even makes sense. |
Several listings for LAW tubes on www.gunbroker.com. Just search "law tube" or M-72 tube |
What Kirk said... ?? Empty LAW tubes are inherently inert (they're throwaway items, once fired. Not reloadable) and not regulated at all. Can buy em easily enough at army-navy stores, etc. I'd imagine PVC pipe would make a much better container. |
I told him that in the first place but he was hellbent on something cooler. I guess he thought he could get one for like $25. Off to the home depot we go...as much as we hate going there... |

Natchez has mortar storage tubes for sale. Price doesn't look bad, but the shipping might be. http://www.natchezss.com/product.cfm?contentID=productDetail&prodID=YN5860&prodTitle=Large%20Ammo%20Storage%20Tube It will probably be more cost effective to purchase PVC tubing locally. EDIT: I know I've spent a bit more money to get something cooler before. Maybe you can find a local Army surplus shop, or gun show |
4" PVC and OD Krylon should be cheaper that an inert LAW tube. |
