Are they still around? Are the stories about them kidnapping children and being kleptomaniacs true? Where are they originally from? My dad and I were talking about them earlier. |
Yes they are around and prevalent. They are largely from Eastern Europe. They do all kinds of illegal garbage. |
Lots of them in the Americas too... Mom was raised in Italy. Supposed to be a lot of Gypsy camps there, according to her. So yes, they still exist. |
Yep, there are lots of them in Italy. We have considerably less here, but they are definitely around. |
| There are different groups that people commonly refer to as Gypsies; the Roma people (the group traditionally referred to as gypsies), Travelers of Ireland and the UK, etc. And no the stories about them kidnapping children aren't true but there is a larger per capita of crime associated with those groups; by and large theft and fraud are the most common crimes. |
Yes they are, as a matter of fact. Take it from someone living in Italy. It's not as widespread as it once was but it still happens. Just a couple months ago a Gyspy lady snuck into a house in Naples and tried to kidnap a baby. She failed, and it was all the cops could do not to have the folks hang her (literally). Roofing jobs that never get done, shoplifting gangs, driveway sealing scams where they use dirty motor oil instead of sealant, using their children to steal, and beating them if they get caught. Organized begging at every major intersection in Skopje, Macedonia, especially on the way into town from Kosovo. Every Tinker man is named John, and the woman is named Mary, at least when they're IDing themselves after being apprehended. I've dealt with Travelers, Tinkers, and Roma. I have yet to have a pleasant encounter. That being said, I believe the Serbs and Nazis trying to exterminate the Roma was absolutely dead wrong. |

I dealt with them in some form all summer from Portugal to Slovenia. Bumming around on trains, waiting for anybody to drop something. Then theres those damn Pikeys. Seriously, if you've seen Snatch...they're just like that. And right here in Ohio, if you've ever taken something to a dumpster, returned in five minutes and it is gone??? Gypsies. |

Gypsies originate from India, they are thieves, cheats, and generally have a culture based upon being a scummy lowlife… They have NEVER changed their ways in a thousand years, it's not because they can't, they just don't want to. There were never as many in Europe as there were Jews, but they suffered a mortality rate at least as high per capita. They were singled out particularly for medical experiments at Auschwitz and elsewhere. |

Let's cut the racist crap and stick with facts, alright? Knowing the scams, taking precautions, and knowing the history is one thing. Unreasoning hatred and wanting them dead is quite another. Many of them have moved from Eastern-Europe to the UK and Italy, which is why Italy has send the army to the cities to try to reduce the huge wave of crime they cause. One thing they do in Milan is mob you, a group of 10 kids and empty your pockets, especially American tourists are the victim as they don't dare to reist, my sister who has done kickboxing and Krav Maga did and she beat the hell out of a bunch of them, the cops told her that she did a good job  Most Eastern-Europeans are happy that they left for Western and Southern Europe. |

I had an encounter with some travelers out of Kentucky the Day after Hurricane Ike hit. I could tell who they were and what their game was. They were dirty scummy looking guys in an almost brand new truck. It was at my parents house in North Harris County. They showed up and said they would remove the tree from my parents house for $2500. They said they had all this equipment but all I saw was an empty pickup and they wanted the money up front. My parents told them that was more then they wanted to pay so they start yelling at my mom almost trying to force her into paying them to remove the tree. I had my Glock 19 on me under my shirt and got in between them and my mom and told them 'she said no and that they had better leave' and they started arguing with me. I told them 'No, it is now in your best interest to leave right now' and put my hand on the grip of my Glock and took one step back for a clear shot at both of them. They realized I had a handgun under my shirt and started walking down the driveway yelling and cussing at us. Not so much a draw down, no adrenalin dump, and I didn't yell 'you will not touch my parents tree' or any of that other happy horse shit. I stayed cool, calm, I got my message across and in case things went south I had all the backup I needed. I just wanted them to leave. They did and never came back. |
Hell yes they are, just go to any local food establishement and you will see the kids shitting and pissing on the bathroom floors. They eat food like it is going out of style, and if you go to the grocery store you will find the kids gording themselves on food they don't pay for. They piss on the American way of life and what we stand for. Anyone have any nukes??

A lot live in North carolina but they travel a lot. They get involved in all kinds of scams. I had some con their way into an elderly couples house. Said they were there to see his wife. When they got inside, they just blatantly went through the house, looking for jewelery, cash and credit cards while the couple stood there and kept asking them to leave. They are disgusting, they believe they have a right to steal due to wrongs against their people ages ago. And it is ingrained from generation to generation. Kind of like illegal welfare. |
