One of our cats, if we get him up to cruising speed, can make it about halfway up the wall in pursuit of the red dot. It is indeed hilarious.

Best thing is a sharp turn just before a wall. Cat will go sideways scrabbling to follow the pointer... Thuds ensue.

Yep. My cats love the laser pointer. All I have to do is jingle the little chain and they come running.
