Anyone else watch this?

I marathoned the first five episodes of season one last night. Holy crap, what a great series.

If this show is even halfway accurate re: offices in 1960, it was truly a man's world. Boozin', sexin', smokin', and, sometimes, workin'.

And Christina Hendrix is easy on the eyes.

There is a rumor that right before she hit it big she did a swimsuit pictorial.

I tried but couldn't take it.  I feel like I'm watching the dramatic version of Bewitched.  I enjoyed the first few episoded for the reasons mentioned above.  After that I got bored....to much dialogue for me.

To me it seemed like each episode was just like the one before. I got tired of watching people talk and smoke.

I don't watch TV, but I saw a series of pics of her at the Emmys.  Holy crap those things are HUGE.  Did some fun googling of her, she's wonderfully voluptuous.

I remember her as Saffron, Mal's crazy broad, in Firefly.

She is, she is.

Comes off as sharp as a sack full of wet mice, but very pretty.

Mad Men needs to introduce a critical plot element than involves a topless pillow fight between her and Diora Baird.

Sorry, my brain doesn't work that well when I am thinking about her.

I like it.

I was alive then, and worked in offices a few years later than the time in the series, and it was still just like that.

It has some subtle stuff in it.  Mom smoking in the baby's room, On a picnic, they leave the trash on the ground, no seat belts, teaching the girl-child to make mixed drinks, not to mention the blatant sexism, intrigue, backstabbing and catty behavior.

The best scenes were when Drapper saved the cigarette ad campaign. They were at a loss to overcome the medical evidence, so he comes up with "Hey, It's toasted". And another, when he came up with the campaign for the Kodak "carousel" projector as "a time machine". Brilliant.

It's a soap opera with a bite, similar to "Dallas". It won a bunch of Emmey's last year and this year.

I like the show. And Christina Hendricks is SMOKIN' HOT. She's about to spontaneously combust she's so hot. I like a woman with curves, not these little stick figures that look like they were just liberated from Auschwitz.

I like it because it's not like the other series on T.V. I like that it's a little more of a gthinking man's show.

Great show but they sometimes over-do the boozing, sexing, etc. stuff.  The look of the people and costumes on the show remind me of my childhood.

Draper's wife is just too amazingly hot. Although you get the impression that it would be (at least emotionally) child abuse.
