| given that the parking lot is only slightly cooler than a roaster oven - I slide them to the grass with my boot (and let the fire ants take care of the bodies). That said, I have been known to simply crush their skull or some other way (think limb lopper) take critters like that out of their misery. |

This is a no brainer... Call PETA (annonamousely) and tell them about the abandoned babies. Let them know that there are people there who want to eat the babies (or something else stupid) The will call in the press and show up with all kinds of equipment and have adoption telethons for the rats. Mostly they will be wasting time and money on this small BS and wont be getting in everybody elses business. |
Odd this should come up. I encountered a mouse nest under the seat of my ATV last weekend. I saw some grass sticking out, and sighed, as I knew what that meant. I took the seat off, grabbed the whole mess and threw it out into the yard. Three of the little bastards fell out and I had to dig them out from the frame of the machine--and I tossed them out into the yard also. I put the seat back on and went about my business. What was the question again?
