So my all the icons on my desktop vanished, along with the taskbar. The desktop is frozen, I can't right click it. I can run everything through tass manager. I've ran virus and spyware checks but nothing is coming up.

I've done that multiple times and still nothing. I've also tried starting explorer.exe through the task manager and it says something like file cannot be found. Do I have to do that in safe mode?

Also, what is safe mode?

Reboot computer while holding "F8" key. From the list, select "restart in safe mode" (try with networking first).

Ok heres what i would do...

Step 1. Go to the pub.

Step 2. Drink some beer.

Step 3. Forget about silly computers.

Step 4.  Grab a bottle of wine and go visit your significant other (a hooker will suffice if alone)

Step 5. Try computer again next day. If still stuffed repeat 1st step.
