I can't do that either. My apartment is on ground level and the driveway to the back of the building is right next to my window. A car would surely run into any AC unit sticking out.

I have a mini fridge. The coldest it gets is luke warm. The apartment people won't replace it because in their opinion it gets "cold enough."
