I captured some video files as MPEGs but what I really need is avi's.  Is there any decent freeware that can convert a 2 minute MPEG into an avi?

Thanks!

I use VLC media player....it does real time conversions.

I gets kinda complicated, you need an AVI codec (divx or xvid works and should be available).  You can use a program called Flask Mpeg, with the Divx as the video codec.

Should be pretty quick.,

That looked like it might work.  I'll have to check it out more closely tonight.

Thanks.
