Sorry, people, I am a Texan and that is unacceptable. For two main reasons. First of all, we are the pillar of freedom, we are the good guys, we are kind to the defeated. If the enemy knows that we torture, that his only path is victory or death ............... he is going to fight so much harder. We want him to surrender, to not fight for his country. Secondly, if we torture his prisoners, we give him an excuse to torture our service members. Even if he will do it anyway, by torturing prisoners, we give others excuses to torture our people DECADES down the line.
