| A more anti gun presidential ticket than Obama/Biden |
In recent history (a.k.a my adult lifetime) I don' think so. Most of the democratic tickets over the past 30 years wouldn't exactly be considered gun friendly, and the same can be said of some of the Republicans on different tickets, but on this one both candidates have been actively anti-gun. I am waiting for when they both walk in to a hunting store somewhere in middle America and ask "where can I get me a huntin' license" while being followed by a flock of faithful reporters who all know they have to sell the story or the ticket will never get elected. Candidates changing their "views" on guns during the campaign is proof that liberals can't get elected to POTUS. I hope there are enough of us who know better not to let them get away with it. |
It was passed by Congress, signed by Clinton. I don't let them off for supporting it, but Joe Biden claims credit for writing it, which in my eyes put him a notch lower on the scale of "most anti-gun ticket". By the way, a lot of people believe Al Gore's failure to take a pro stand on the 2nd amendment was the main issue he could not carry his home state. If he had, he would have beat Bush. |
