Certainly there must be some "players for the other team" on this board. Why is it when one is nice or cordial to an obviously gay man, suddenly you become their next target? I've known many homosexuals (not "intimately") and only once have I ever met one that didn't consider me and treat me like their next partner after I made it obvious I didn't give two shits about their sexual orientation. (no pun intended) /and yes, I realize this is Arfcom. Bring it. /what the hell does "bring" mean? |

My point is that guys, being the leg humpers we are, have a general predisposition toward "I think she wants me..." when a chick doesn't spray them down with OC on sight. I don't think it would be a huge stretch to think the same tendencies exist in gay men. |

Because they hope to indoctrinate you into their lifestyle. Being gay is a choice. If you hang out with them enough you will start to think like them and the next thing you know... Its common knowledge that who you hang out with starts to influence you. Like if you hang out with the 'wrong crowd' you end up in trouble. I bet once you joined arfcom you love of black rifles got greater. I would break off all contact and try to find one of those intense religious retreats to de-gay you completely. |

maybe in doing that, you didn't also make it obvious that you are not their type. Is it possible your method of making it obvious that you don't care about their sexual orientation looks more like an open invitation? I have met any number of gay men and never had one hitting on me, but then that may just be more about the area of the country where I live. There are openly gay people here, but they don't exactly flaunt it. |

Logically, that's an admission that you could be swayed. Are you heterosexual because you hang out with heterosexuals? The more gay people I meet, the more I completely believe it's genetic. Sex acts can be controled (ergo: a chocie), but attaction can not. You cannot de-gay a person by convincing them to stop sucking dick. They may no longer be blowing the skin flute, but they'll still be gay. I don't care what environment you put me in, there is no way that you will stop me from being attracted to women. |
I think it was more the first lesbian he had really been around. I talked to him afterword and he was all upset that she took it the wrong way. I explained that the next time just treat her like you would a guy that you where trying to explain something to and all would be good. |

Easily reworded: I've met only one straight guy who kept his peter in his pants. The rest of them were players who overtly wanted to nail anything female. Gay or straight, guys like to get it on. |
Nope......just sometimes we are surprized when we meet a friendly str8 guy. And not to beat up on your state...but Alabama isn't the gay friendiest of places. Just tell them you not interested...and if they keep being rude..tell them there just not hot.

Yup. Treat her like she is nothing special (which most likely she isn't) and she will want to figure out why she can't have you. Chicks respond to strength and confidence. Some guys who can't get hot chicks think hot chick respond to assholes, when in actuality it's the confidence the chicks see. I'm not saying treat her like shit, just treat her like you should treat a female and she will drop her panties. I think some gay men just come off more "sexual" and are not neccesarily hitting on you specifically, but are more like the slutty girls who just ooze slutty flrtation, even if they are not interested in the person they are talking with.  I have a gay friend who doesn't give me that vibe. He used to be anti-gun, but he's realizing the value in responsible firearms ownership - especially due to the attitude towards gays around where I live. I'm seeing more gay people giving up democrat political ideas in favor of liberterianism, including firearms ownership and self defense. BTW, What's up with all the homophobia on ARFCOM? Homophobia usually signals repressed urges and feelings...

I am a personal trainer, my favorite clients are a gay couple. They were really my first interaction with anyone that is homosexual. I train them at their house and I was a little weirded out before I first went over there. After knowing them now for a few months, they just seem like normal guys. Hell, they even asked me if i would teach them how to shoot. I have found them not only to be stand up people, but they are two of the funniest individuals I have ever spent time with. I have never felt like they were undressing me with their eyes, should I be offended? edit: you know what? I am offended, i mean i am a sweet piece of ass! How dare they not try to get with this? |
