Help. Longer h_ve _ _ button. \k; > General Discussion

When I hit the to top keys on my keybord, I get "\k;", "][i". The other buttons work. Wh\kt; the hell is wrong with my computer? The buttons would be the first letters of the words _uestion & _nswer.

sounds like you have a screwed up keyboard. Do you have another pc to test it on? I had one that did similar after I spilled a beer on it.

Could be the keyboard is crapping out. Swap keyboards with another PC and see where the problem goes. If it follows the keyboard, chunk it and get another one. If it stays with the PC, it could be a driver problem or a language setting problem.

Could be just dirt or crud.

Shut down computer, unplug keyboard, rap it vigorously face-down on the table a few times, vacuum or blow out crud, plug in, try again.

If that fails, invest $5 in a new one.

Reboot did the trick. It happened after I hit too many keys at once, setting off some code glich, trying to type to fast I guess.
