Is it me or does Spitz have an amazingly huge Ego? I am watching his interview on NBC at the moment with Michael Phelps.. and all I can say is wow.. big headed is a small term to describe Mark S.

Seems kind of humble to me.... actually he is giving all the glory to Phelps and not himself.

I thought it seemed like Phelps kept trying to make it about "me". Frankly, it's awkward.

I had the same impression, not what I had expected after reading he was having a hissy fit the other day because he hadn't been invited to Beijing...

That was my impression, and Spritz seemed to be humble and giving Phelps his moment, but Phelps didn't return the gesture without it seeming insincere or awkward.

Yeah nobody liked him the first time around, obviously nobody cares now. I mean he was a teenybopper bubble gum idol. Love Story and Mark Spitz posters were the most often defaced posters of their time,
