Is this even a possibility, or am I being overly paranoid? Situation: The resident conspiracy nut at work made a CD for me - has a coupla of whacko nutjob movies on it. He tells me to please burn a copy, and return the CD. I take it because WTF - keep your friends close, and your enemies closer, right? While I'm making the copy, I think of this: While I'm saving his data to my hard drive, could a hidden program on his CD be saving data from my computer to his disk? I return the disk to him and BAM he has info from my computer: passwords, etc. I'm seriously thinking about throwing him a $5 bill and telling him I misplaced his disk. Or do I need to start working on this:  |
