I just took my upright deep freeze outside and thawed it.
How long til I can put food back in after plugging it up?

Put a ziplock bag of water in the freezer after you clean and plug it back in. When it's frozen, you're GTG.

Dry it inside and turn it on. If you tilted it from its normal position (like horizontal for an upright) you need to wait 24 hours or so to make sure the refrigerant has gotten back out of the compressor oil.

Mfg's say twenty four hours. It's usually around five.
