Anyone know a good forum to get information on adventures around the world? I'm looking to do some traveling and I'm a pretty outdoorsy type of guy. I don't want to go on a tourist-type get away when I travel. As an example, I plan on going to Egypt next year and doing the 9-day camel trek through the desert - staying out in the desrt in tents the whole time. I didn't want to go on some airconditioned bus, get out take pictures of the pyramids and then get back on the bus. I also know about REI Adventures. There's a pretty cool 4-Day backpack hike through the Grand Canyon trip. Again, it will outdoors the entire time. I'm looking for stuff like that. Any ideas? BTW, before anyone says it, I've already had my adventure in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan. I was looking to go on a vacation without the Uncle this time around. |
