| I've interviewed for an accounting position with a commercial construction equipment dealer. They've narrowed it down to me and another chick. I have a second interview with the president this afternoon. I don't know much about the construction business. I need a few good questions to ask this guy to land the job. Does anyone out there have any advice? It would be greatly appreciated. |

Be Positive! and friendly. Do not say anything bad about a former employer or co-worker. If you can be confident, friendly and Positive, without coming across as arrogant or airheaded, the job is yours. For your questions, research the company and ask questions that show that you have done enough research to demonstrate a little insight into their operations, future plans, etc. Make sure the questions do not sound contrived. Pretend you already work there. You should be having a normal and enjoyable conversation. |

What type of accounting sofrware if any is in use? How is payroll processed and or what is the average payroll expense? What type of asset management is in place? Do they only sell equipment or also lease? Are the sales folks payed a salary or straight commission? How large is the Acct. dept? What will be my area of responsibility? To name a few |
Thanks guys!
Thank you! Those are great. I've already asked the Controller about the others. Have anymore? |
