"Daleks, be warned; you have declared war upon the Cybermen." "THIS IS NOT WAR, THIS IS PEST CONTROL!" "We have five million Cybermen. How many are you?" "FOUR." "You would destroy the Cybermen with four Daleks?" "WE WOULD DESTROY THE CYBERMEN WITH ONE DALEK! YOU ARE SUPERIOR IN ONLY ONE RESPECT!" "What is that?" "YOU ARE BETTER AT DYING!" ~BakerMike |
When did they fly? I watched all the way up through Peter Davison's death and never saw them fly? |
Ah yes, the battle of Canary Wharf. |
They didnt do it alot, but they can and do |
They can now. |
When computer graphics got better. |
I don't know, but I promise you, somewhere there is a round that will stop them. The reason I know this is because they always attack countries with strict gun laws, so they must be scared of something. |

My favorite Dr. Who Clip. A mix of new and classic old bad guys. youtube.com/watch?v=1Pb3QnLnx9k&feature=related |
They started to fly during seventh doctor era. |
That's Dalek Sec of the Cult of Skaro. The Cult was kind of a Dalek Spec Ops during the Time War, answering to no authority. A group of four Daleks who were conditioned to think like their enemies, even taking names. Sec, Jast, Thay and Caan. All in the name of finding new ways of killing their foes. At the end of the last season, they were all gone. Pity. |
IIRC, one did an emergency time shift and escaped. |
Jack was killed the first time by Daleks. He is a bit emotional about it. "Sarah Jane Smith" was one of the doctors' companions back in the 70's (Tom Baker Doctor). She is now on "The Sarah Jane Adventures", which just recently completed it's first season run on Sci-Fi. There is one more, that was a two parter. |
I have seen one, somewhere. There is a Dalek and a regular smiley face. The Dalek zaps the smiley face, which flashes between a regular smiley and a black and while skull when the beam hit's it. Way cool. Now, if I can figure out where I saw it... |
haha - a fantastic quote. I also love the epilogue from The Family of Blood. "He never raised his voice. That was the worst thing - the fury of the Time Lord - and then we discovered why. Why this Doctor, who had fought with gods and demons, why he had run away from us and hidden. He was being kind. He wrapped my father in unbreakable chains forged in the heart of a dwarf star. He tricked my mother into the event horizon of a collapsing galaxy to be imprisoned there, forever. He still visits my sister, once a year, every year. I wonder if one day he might forgive her, but there she is. Can you see? He trapped her inside a mirror. Every mirror. If ever you look at your reflection and see something move behind you just for a second, that's her. That's always her. As for me, I was suspended in time and the Doctor put me to work standing over the fields of England, as their protector. We wanted to live forever. So the Doctor made sure we did. " |
