Im sure some of you have heard the prev problems I have had with him. Now he is calling up harassing my mother and grandmother trying to get my SSN Why cant this be fixed easily |
|
I'd make sure I get some kind of fraud alert on my credit even if I had to pay for it Taxman, you might end up with $$$$$ on your credit with him using your SSN. I'd personally put a total credit freeze on any new accounts opened up in my name until such time as you deem it OK to take it off. [allow some time to do it also.] |
Im not calling him directly he doesnt have my number at this point. He said he wants to do he can make me his beneficiary on insurance and such. I heard (from 3rd party) his wife ripped him out of alot of money and left him bad in debt. Also my name is Kendall H. ......... His is Kendall B .......... So with a little info I suspect fraud would be easily done |

Umm, I don't know---maybe like my dad did and get credit cards in my name and run up $20,000? (I'm a Jr., he's a Sr., being my dad he obviously knew my SS number, wasn't too hard apparently). |
Thats what I figure I wonder if I should remove my cash from bank account to be safe, he knows what bank I use and the mailing address |
My father did this to me after I turned 18. Opened a credit card in my name and SSN. He racked up more than $10,000 on that card, and didn't pay a dime. I didn't know about it for a few years. Wife and I pulled my credit a bit before we decided to buy a house, and sure enough, surprise. By the time we found out about it, it was easier to just wait till it dropped off the report than to fight it. |
Set up a MANDATORY password with the bank on all your accounts. No password, no access to ANYTHING. |
Now I got to get to the bank and Im working all week, fuck |
Change banks. Or at least, write a registered letter to your bank stating your concerns. That way if he DOES clean you out, the bank has been warned and can be held liable. but I'd change banks to prevent this. |
|
he doesn't need your SSN for bene info, you verify that with them after he dies with an IRS Form W-9. Send a letter of instruction to your bank, have a bank or financial person Signature Guarantee (also called a Medallion Stamp) it. Or contact your banks call center and see what they need to set up the password. And check your credit report monthly. |
Only info needed is a name and what relationship the person has with you , i.e. son , daughter , wife , friend ect . |
I swapped all but min balance over last night to another online bank I use from the local one, he doesnt know about that one |
| Sorry about your problems. Is it at all possible that he really does want to list you as a beneficiary on a Life Insurance policy. I had to get my sister's SSN to list her as a secondary on one of my policies. Hope you get it all worked out, as family can really get you down sometimes. |
|
You can get your ssn secured using one of those credit protection companies Here it is Taxman....its called Life Lock |
Been ripped off by him 4 times soo far and had him call the cops on me multiple times. I dont think he wants to help me |
I have told him to fuck off many times and offered "encouragement" to leave me alone |
