| We hear about UFO's in the news all the time. Are they aliens, or are they some other crap? Do we really have visitors from another solar system? |
Oh... outer space aliens... gotcha...  The way I look at it... there are 100,000,000,000 stars in our galaxy. There are millions upon millions of galaxies. It is impossible that this is the only planet where life has developed. Google the "Hubble Deep Field" to begin to get an idea of how many galaxies are out there. |

The human race fought a war of dominance against the known universe destroying entire systems in their quest for human dominance. The universe eventually defeated the human race and banished them to the outward backwards solar system that we know today. The civilizations of the universes decided to keep the humans as a race of living weapons to achieve a sort of super weapon to unleash in the event that the galactic universes faces destruction again by a race bent on dominance. The human race is kept alive to ensure that no one race is dominate among all races of our universe. In the event that one alien race claims dominance in the universe the human super weapon will be unleashed on the universes to unite them once again against the greater evil that is humanity. I some ways the human race was banished to the prison Earth as a form of punishment. It is believed that the human race would forever punish itself in the quest for human domination that has always fueled the human race. Instead of humans destroying alien races the human race would be exiled to always attempt to destroy humanity itself in the quest for unachievable dominance. Since human mental strength and violence is dominate the human race will never die out sentenced for all time to punish itself in a sort of human made hell. We are a race that glorifies violence and dominance. Our children and our children’s children will continue to advance the science of death and dominance to an even more purified form. The science of violence is and has always been the ultimate motivator for the advancements of human science. The art of warfare and death has forever advanced faster amongst the human race than any other science. The first ultimate advancement of the human race was the ability to destroy humanity itself. We are on Earth as a punishment. Our souls are trapped for all time to continue our own personnel hell until we as a race are unleash upon our universe to continue our war of –perpetual dominance. We are the demons of the hell we believe exists. |

I've hands down seen UFO's as of recently, as many have read up on my experience. UFOs exist, they do plain and simple. At least round shaped ones as that's what I without a doubt saw. Now, were they some form of secret Gov't terrestrial object or extraterrestrial. If I had to choose, extraterrestrial. Very surreal once you see them. |

of course aliens exist. Our experience on Earth indicates that life exists pretty much wherever it's possible. Look at extremeophiles that live in hydrothermal vents and the like. There are billions of galaxies and quadrillions of stars in the universe. Of course life exists somewhere else. Astronomers have already discovered other planets within the habitable range of distant stars. However, humans are the only intelligent life to evolve on the Earth, which indicates that perhaps intelligence isn't a particularly necessary evolutionary skill. Although i'm sure that a few intelligent species have evolved somewhere else in the universe, I highly doubt that they traveled very far, because I believe that faster-than-light travel is impossible. |

Those aliens that humanity encounters from time to time are the Keepers of the Weapon. They are responsible for the weapon. They do abduct humans from time to time not to hurt them, but instead to make sure that the weapon has stayed potent over the the years. In the event that the weapon is needed those same aliens will give us the info we need to begin our "Dominance war" again. Only the keepers of the weapon know the location of earth. They are here because at one point they were our living logistical computers. |

Stasis / hibernation / cryonics And the Theory of General Relativity makes it pretty clear that no spacecraft are going to be travelling at c or any appreciable fraction thereof. I think we're stuck at sublight velocities until and unless we can make a quantum breakthrough... "wormholes", folding space, etc. Life suspension is more likely than relativistic velocities, and "generation ships" are more likely than that. Watch for asteroids entering a solar orbit from beyond the Oort Cloud. |
We as the human race are the Nazis and the rest of the universe races are the Allies that united agaisnt the Axis powers. The book is my personal effort as a historian and history teacher to help people understand how the holocaust occured by showing it a way that removes the human racist issue by eliminating the Nazis and Jews from the story. I have almost finished book one where we are visited by the Keepers of the Weapon. It took three college level WWII and Holocaust classes just to finish book one. |

Your thread title and poll description are two vastly different things. 1. Do aliens exist? Well, so far we have a sample population of exactly 1 planet out of...what, no more than a hundred or so...that has life on it. Still, there are an unimaginable number of planets in the Universe, and it seems probable that some of them will have similar environments to Earth. Similarly, it seems unlikely that Earth is a significantly unique environment in the universe. Without much data to go on, I would say that it is likely that there is life elsewhere. 2. Are UFOs that we observe here on Earth aliens? Even given all of the above, it seems unlikely that things we see here originate from another planet. Still, as someone (Clarke?) once said, any technology, sufficiently advanced, appears to be magic...perhaps other civilizations have advanced well beyond our level, and their technology is beyond our scientific ability to explain so far. So, while allowing for the possibility that alien life has technology and science so advanced that we do not yet comprehend it, I do not think it very likely that our local observations are evidence of an alien presence on Earth. So, my opinion: probably life elsewhere, probably not coming here on vacation. |
