Alright- I'm a fan of the UFC and MMA in general. I recognize that as it becomes more and more popular, they have to fill time with more shows. I like the fights, I like the Ultimate Fighter show and even an occasional special about the fighters. But what the fuck is this piece of shit show on VS called Tapout? Its hosted by three assclown fanboys with nicknames and costumes. One douchebag wears an afro wig, one has ghey face paint ALL THE TIME and one looks like a normal fighter, but his name is Punkass. On this episode they visit Chuck Liddell and just kiss his ass and lick his balls the whole time. I understand that its (obviously) sponsored by Tapout, but FUCK!! Any of the stuff that just showed training was cool, but these nutsacks are a waste of airspace. I don't get it. Rant off. |

| I am getting a little tired of all the MMA UFC stuff because I cant go anywhere without meeting some guy who has to tell me all about how he is training to be UFC and is so badass. These guys stories are worse than the ones I hear at gun shows. I realize popularity breeds imitation but I want to see some real fighting not a bunch of untrained ass clowns slapping each other in a ring. |
Watch UFC then. The fighters there are in the top class. They ARE professional fighter. |

+1. UFC/Pride unified is as good as it's probably ever going to get. I will be tuning in for the GSP and Lesner fights in August. The HD-Net fights out of Portland are also decent, but typically show lesser-quality bouts from more unknowns - still get a few gems once in a while. As far as Tapout goes, sounds like it's a lame excuse for another reality show and won't make it past the pilot. :D |
WEC and UFC are both owned by Zuffa Inc. For the classes that overlap, WEC is essentially a feeder league for the UFC. WEC = 135, 145, 155, 170, 185, 205. UFC = 155, 170, 185, 205, 206+ That being said... I've been training for 2 years and still don't own a single Tapout item. I don't mind some of their plain looking shorts, they seem to hold up well, but I don't like 99% of their stuff. I hate the personalities on the show, but at this point for the sport, exposure is the name of the game. Even if you hate em, you know who they are/remember them, so it's working one way or another! |
I know how that goes. I trained in MMA for a short time (1yr. +/-) and now, I can;t go anywhere without someone asking me when my next fight is and how my UFC Training is going... and they are dead serious, not busting my balls. This did however, come in handy one day when some buddies of mine and I were up @ the beach in Tahoe and some guy and about 15 of his buddies wanted to fight the other two guys I was with... his GF said "oh, their w/ FsuChris, that guys a cage fighter, don't mess w/ them"... they all walked up and gave me everything short of a blow job. |

Being into Judo since I was in jr. high school, I cringe when these MMA wannabe douche nozzles come to our club wanting to "kick ass and get crazy". The club I train at is a more traditional judo club made up of members who want to train for themselves not to be goofballs who think because they watch that crap on the tube they can run out on the mat and show us how it's really done. (Holy fucking run on sentences batman) "Better watch yourself, I know what I'm doing"....Kid actually said that to me. Right before I choked his dumb self out....standing up  Some actually become good students. Most wear tapout brand shit and plaster tapout stickers all over thier hoopties and quit after a few classes. Sometimes I'll run into them while they stocking shelves at the local kroger mart and I'll ask them where they are training now. They usually can't answer because they aren't training any more. Go figure. I'll be glad when this whole MMA thing fades away. |

I finished watching the show. My final verdict is that the facepaint dude is an assclown. The afro guy is fucking retarded. The other dude just drives the bus and looks mean. Ooooh. In the end, the guy they were backing (Chucks self admitted bitch) LOST! There's reality TV for you. Spend the whole show pumping up a fighter and then he gets knocked out in the first round. It happens. Oh well. Lesson learned- won't be tuning in to that POS any more. I'm going to the range. |

The Tapout guys are actually kinda funny. They wanted to sell clothes to MMA fans. They kept getting ignored. The finally decided to dress up like idiots and people remembered them from event to event. They've since built a pretty good little business selling MMA gear to fat bald guys. |

MMA fighters don't have to talk,just look for two cauliflowers hanging off both sides of there heads. They are either wrestlers,boxers,or both before they started wearing head gear! Not all have the ears,but those that do got them honestly! Win or lose they will give you all you want! Bob
