While the UK is in the grip of Knife Crime, China and Japan face a similar problem - Chopstick crime is on the increase - especially amongst inner city gangs.

Ho Hi Ha, Mayor of the Chinese city of Pikachu told me "We have several instances a week of kids being poked in the eye with chopsticks - the kids carry them and conceal them - then, when a scrap starts, and they are getting twatted, they pull them out and poke the other fighter in the eye, up the nose or in the ear."

In Japan the problem is also growing and parents are worried.

Ping Pang Ying Yang Yong, a Japanese businessman from the town of Pokemon told me "I am scared that my son will end up in a chopstick fight - they are very dangerous - we need to do something - chopsticks can injure."

Police in London agree and are worried that the chopstick menace may spread.

"We need to really impose a ban on all eating utensils" said one copper.

However one historian pointed out "Ban knifes, ban guns, ban chopsticks, catapults, swords and bottles - no matter what - you won't stop the killing - it's in our blood."

Nothing worse than getting "twatted".

I disagree. I rather enjoy being 'twatted'.

I actually believed that article until this line:

"We need to really impose a ban on all eating utensils" said one copper.

Hell, nothing surprises me anymore.
