As title says, how long is your commute to job/school/etc?

My commute time changed from 15 min to 35 min because of new job and I want to see what is the average here.
7/9/2008 8:41:39 PM EDT
[#1]
35 or 5 depending on what job I go to...
7/9/2008 8:41:47 PM EDT
[#2]
Depends. I own a company.
7/9/2008 8:42:35 PM EDT
[#3]

7/9/2008 8:42:41 PM EDT
[#4]
Anywhere from 4-15 minutes depending on lights and traffic.
7/9/2008 8:42:49 PM EDT
[#5]
A couple of miles, a couple of minutes.  Same for the wife.

I think most people could get to work and back on electricity that's building up at night.

Anything extra will require gas.
7/9/2008 8:43:21 PM EDT
[#7]
about 5 mins.

I drive from appointment to appointment during the day and leave from my house, so 0mins or 8 hours depending on how you look at it, before that, when I had to go into the office 57 miles 1-way, it was 1.5-2hrs each way assuming nothing went wrong on the roads between here and there.

My wife does about 65 miles 1 way but in offpeak hours, so its 60 mins and she leaves 90 mins early just in case.
7/9/2008 8:47:39 PM EDT
[#9]
About 15 seconds. 30 seconds if I'm hungover.
7/9/2008 8:47:54 PM EDT
[#10]
7 mins.
7/9/2008 8:48:50 PM EDT

40 min. It SUCKS. That's why some days I just don't leave the house.
7/9/2008 8:49:19 PM EDT
[#12]
This whole entire town has become one giant " Road under Construction" used to be 10min now its 20-35min depending at what time I leave the house. I work 8am-6pm mon-fri so I leave the house about 7:55am to get ahead of the 9 to 5ers.
7/9/2008 8:49:27 PM EDT
[#13]
40 minutes, as long as I leave by 0420.

All I have to do is walk down the hallway, and if I wake up at 7:45, there's no way I'm sitting in front of my computer by 8:00.

Roll halfway out of bed and fire up the company laptop.
Some days, zero commute.
Some days, cross-county.
Other days, inter-state commute.

Third-party field service for IT stuff (hardware) is interesting at times.

I voted 30-40 but since I just left my job it's not all that accurate.

I left because I was traveling to work 6 days a week.  Told em that I'd appreciate a 20-25% pay increase because of the high cost of fuel.  They said there's no way in hell they could increase my pay by that much...  I told them they could by going to four 10 hour days.  They balked but, I wasn't bluffing.  If I'm going to be bankrupt, might as well get it over w/ quick.  (And the pay sucked anyway)

My daily commute to and from work is just under 4 miles so I chose less then 10 minutes.

I typically have to be at work at 16:00 hrs. (4 pm for you .mil challenged folks). So I get up at 15:20, shave, take a shower, then stop at Mcdonalds for 2 cheeseburgers and a coke for breakfast. Make it to work by 16:00 easily.

Mine depends. Half the time I work from home (like today). On those days, I have no commute. The other half, I work in places like Brazil (next week), Mexico (two weeks later), Malaysia, etc. Those weeks my commute is pretty long.
