I had been reading about these things recently, and thought that a stand alone launcher might be neat for holidays like the fourth. I have no desire to mount one to an AR. I notice there are rounds for these things, that shoot fireworks. And there are supposedly ways to convert "artillery shell fireworks" into rounds for these things, significantly cheaper than buying them loaded. Is it legal? (Federal, and Texas) How is it done? Has anyone here done this? |

37mm FLARE launchers are not regulated, AFAIK. ARFcom 37mm/40mm FAQ |
I was looking at 37mm.com earlier, it looks like it hasn't been updated since '05. This is the Spike's launcher I have been eying. ![]() Daddy wants. |
ETA you fixed red X.. |
fixed It looks like they no longer carry that model. |
Damn it, that thing looks cool. Now I want one too... ![]() |
I like the way it looks better than the newer model, plus it's $100 cheaper. This one will be available in August.

WOOD DOWELS, RUBBER BALLS, or anything MEANT to be anti-personell IS ALSO A DD. Film cans filled with chalk FOR TARGET USE are not DDs, tear gas rounds that do not have an anti-personell projo are NOT DDs. |

The explosive limits in fireworks are regulated by federal and state laws. HOW they are launched doesnt matter. You could shoot a firework out of a 155 if you could find one. But how much you shoot is regulated. Otherwise, I've seen pictures of what happens to guys who fuck around with those 37mm jobs and have things go south. Hell no. DO NOT WANT. |
I must inform everyone this pic makes my
