What is your favorite condiment, overall?

Saw a documentary recently on PBS concerning condiments. Salsa is consumed more than any other condiment in the USA, followed by ketchup.

What say you arfcom?

My favorite condiment is easily mayonnaise, as displayed in threads such as this.

Hot sauce would have been my answer up until a year or so ago. Now mayo is #1, with hot sauce coming in at second place.

I probably should have somehow incorporated ranch dressing into the poll, because I see that being a popular option.

Damn, I just couldn't choose between hot sauce and salsa.

Relish!

Back in the olden days, when i was in my early 20's.  I survived a week eating only condiments.  Relish ended up being the easiest of all to consume towards day 6-7

Olive oil.  I use it every time time I cook veggies, make pizza dough and when mixed with cider vinegar it makes a decent salad dressing.

Its hard to say I wouldnt want hot sauce on my hotdog, and I dont want mayo on my wings....so depending on what im eating depends on what my condiment of choice is.

Heinz does have a sugar free ketchup out there right now, but my favorite is BBQ sauce, I put it on everything.

Ketchup & mustard. Mustard wins though since I put it on everything from burgers to dogs to samiches. I only put ketchup   on burgers & fries. I'm not really big into hot sauce & I only eat salsa with chips.

I wonder if that includes the gazillions of gallons of salsa served in mexican restaurants?

Hot Sauce, specifically El Yucateco habanero sauce. Mustard's nice, too.

Ketchup
and Tapatio hot sauce coming in second.

I believe salsa is more properly a food.  Most folks I know use it primarily as a food, not a condiment.

I guess from that list I would pick mayo. I normally mix mayo with hot mustard (goes well on damn near anything). Ranch is also hard to beat

I thought I would be the only one.  I haven't tried it on ice cream, but I regularly be testin the boundaries of where horseradish can go.

The worst is finding it in the grocery store (real stuff, not the creamy).  I've never been able to walk right up to it.  I need a minimum of two employees assisting and four close inspections before I spot it tucked in between the cream cheese and yeast.
