Why the hell is it when you have an MRE the is "spanish" (like Chicken Fajita), they do not come with the little bottle of Tobasco? Who the hell thought up that one?

They give you Tobasco with the Spagetti, but not with the Fajitas or Chili Mac...

Those little bottles of Tabasco are cute, but they're way too small to be useful.  I use about 6 times that much on my eggs in the morning.

I always stripped my MRE's down to this:

-spoon
-heater
-drink bag
-crackers (maybe)
-peanut butter

The rest was given away to buddies.  I'd then shove Ramen noodle packets into crevices in my gear along with a couple of cans of soup (with pull tops).  The heaters on MRE's are truly fantastic and they're great for heating up actual food.  The rest of the shit... well... even brand new they taste like they've been sitting on a shelf in Burt Gummer's cellar for 25 years.

I rarely used the heaters; didn't want to bring too much of the taste out.  I could deal with most of the stuff except for the white rice.

Hey now. I was an Airman, but I ALWAYS had some Tabasco around.
I don't even like it but I stocked up on it for trading purposes.

most times i would take the case and gut all the mre's into the box. then you can just mix and match at chow time.
